Production Worker – V5
Description
Production workers will be responsible for one or more aspects of the construction of windows. Must be able to construct windows in all different phases, including Glass department, vinyl department, or aluminum department. Potential tasks include: cutting glass, off loading glass, assembling metal grids, assembling insulated glass units, cutting vinyl, punching vinyl, welding frames, cleaning frames, mulling frames, installing glass units into frames, and inserting glazing bead. Must be able to understand instructions whether they are written or verbal, and follow said instructions. Must complete work with accuracy and efficiency. The nature of all production positions is repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
KEY DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
• On-time delivery of assembled window or door product.
• Production of products consistent with quality control standards established.
• Production of products consistent with units per man and cost per unit established requirements.
• Work with a heightened level of focus on SAFETY.
• Work with good housekeeping and waste management practices.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• One or more years of work experience and demonstrated job stability.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
• Able to read and use a tape measure and operate basic hand tools.
• Read/write and basic math skills.
• Ability to get along well with co-workers.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling.
• May be required to frequently lift up to 50 lbs
• Hand dexterity and strength.
• Overtime is required, including some weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Fast-paced production environment in manufacturing facility.
• Elevated noise levels requiring the use of safety protective devices.
• Seasonable cold/hot depending on the season.
