Job Summary
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and owning the roadmap for segments of the Aspen Avionics product line using market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement and business planning. This “visionary” will be able to indentify future trends using turn key insights and concepts into cutting edge products.
Job Duties
· Indentifies areas for growth and creates strategic product plans to help drive adoption of product along with differentiating and innovative features
o Develops new product features and functionality in partnership with engineering
o Provides customer use-case examples to engineering acting as the primary bridge between customer feedback and R&D
· In partnership with other functions will develop material for product launches including collateral and sales training materials; will also set up and conduct sales training on how to sell specific products
· Once product has been introduced to the market place, must implement strategies to increase sales and profits
· Will look for market opportunities that existing or future products might fulfill
· Must be able to work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Support, Sales, Dealers and Customers to achieve goals
· Tracks and analyzes customer feedback and registration to identify trends and opportunities along with understanding what customers are willing to pay for
Qualifications:
· At least 7 yearsexperience in product management and marketing, promoting high technology products
· Must have a meaningful successful track record of product marketing which includes understanding market opportunities, the investment required and the technology partners needed to successfully put a product proposal together
· Results driven self-starter who works well under pressure and delivers results in resource and time constrained environments
· Strong analytical, financial and strategic thinking skills required
· Articulate communicator in person and in writing (showing samples of personally produced collateral is important)
· Must be an eloquent and strong presenter with the ability to work with executive managementand customers
· Experience developing sales training materials
· Experience with effective use of on-line and social networks for marketing purposes
· Some travel is required
· Ability to hit the ground running and come up to speed quickly!
· Avionics product marketing experience preferred but not required
· Current pilot license desired
Education:
· BS/BA degree required (technical degree or MBA preferred)
