SITE DESCRIPTION:

The Information Systems Technology team continues to expand in order to meet the needs of our integration with the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth Health System (SCLHS).​ There are opportunities for analysts in all disciplines (Epic applications, training, testing, interface, security and others) to be a part of this tremendous growth opportunity.​

UNIT DESCRIPTION:

Application Analyst positions are located at our Golden Hill facility in Lakewood, CO.​ Analysts will travel to Exempla hospitals in the Denver metro area to gather requirements and provide support.​ In addition, the position may travel to out of state hospitals in the Sisters of Charity Health System to gather requirements for system implementation

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Lead member of application team.​ Responsible for evaluation, design, testing, implementation, upgrades, support and maintenance, security and creates documentation for all assigned applications.​ Directs and coordinates the operational and capital project activities for Exempla Healthcare.​ Manages small application projects and provides software technical expertise and is the primary resource for Analysts, End-Users, Vendors, Consultants and teams within IST.​ Duties will include running meetings, presentations, status report updates, estimating, tracking and planning.​ Serves as subject matter expert in design and implementation of new systems.​ Performs workflow analyses and recommends process changes to enhance departmental productivity.​ Develops training programs as required.​ Strong trouble shooting and communication skills for both implementation and support of applications.​ Escalates problems as required to appropriate staff, Management and/​or Vendor to ensure problems are resolved in a timely manner.​ Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks/​projects including the assignment of tasks to Analysts, completion dates and monitoring progress, and other duties as assigned by Management.​ Supports staff in training needs and day to day functions.​ Assists with personnel performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.​ Supports Manager with day to day operations of the IST Department for their designated area.​

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics or related field preferred.​ Equivalent education and work experience may be substituted in lieu of education.​ 2 to 4 years experience in Healthcare Minimum of 2-4 years progressive experience as technical application support staff including implementation, support, report writing, trouble shooting, upgrades, and customizing/​configuring systems to business needs.​ Extensive experience with multiple Healthcare applications, computer languages, databases, operating systems, and hardware platforms Comprehensive documentation and technical writing skills including support documentation, trouble shooting guides, OLA’s, project documentation, flow diagrams, application specifications, and functional requirements.​ Strong team player with good oral and written communication skills including knowledge transfers, conflict management, issue escalation, expectation management, and translation of business needs into technical requirements.​

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree Epic Optime certification or proficiency Clinical experience in a hospital setting
