Product Consultant – Servers

Description

Dell Public Marketing is looking for a candidate to fill a senior marketing manager position to support the server business. This position will own the development and execution of the go-to-market plans to support the P&L for the server business within our Higjher Education, K-12, and State & Local Government accounts.

The position involves partnering very closely with Sales, CoC, PG, Business Intelligence, and the marketing team to create programs and develop content to support customers in the buying process for Dell’s Server and enterprise solutions.

By working closely with these organizations, this individual’s responsibilities will include:
Providing Sales support including customer presentations at the EBC and onsite
Driving demand generation
Working closely with the segment marketing team to drive enterprise programs, targeted toward education and government customers
Driving required sales training
Working with the demand supply team to ensure appropriate MSP loads and attainment to targets
Working with PG and CoC to drive product feedback into the development cycles

This individual will also be responsible for assessing market trends, quantifying opportunities, and work with the sales and specialist team to develop business cases to appropriate funding for the program when necessary.

This individual will work with the Corporate Communications team to increase visibility, education and awareness to key industry audiences through use of press releases, case studies, press briefings, featured stories, speaking opportunities and analyst briefings.

* Must have 5-10 years sales and/or marketing experience
* Must possess excellent analytical skills and be able assess market opportunities for emerging trends.
* Must demonstrate ability to create, execute and measure a successful marketing campaign.
* Must be able to drive results in a complex, cross-functional organization
* Must possess excellent communications skills, strong project management skills and ability to prioritize projects against limited time and financial resources
* MBA strongly preferred
