Responsible for the acquisition, installation, operations, maintenance and usage of a multi-user computer system, including local area networks. Installs workstation hardware and peripheral components. Operating systems may include UNIX, NT, SQL, Sun, Windows, etc. Loads and verifies correct operation of the operating systems and the various subcomponents (login/domain accounts, file access rights, establishing DNS and email servers and developing various software scripts to enhance productivity); backs up systems. Maintains data files and control procedures.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a specialized area or field or the equivalent, and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience; or master’s degree and 3 – 5 years of related experience.

Candidate should have senior level network and server administration infrastructure experience; familiarity with Google Search Appliance; familiarity with ARCSight; familiarity with CAD/CAM software; Currently possess, or be able to obtain the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification within six months; PKI experience; Cisco Certification (either CCNA, CCNE,or CCNP); Security+ certification
