Job summary

As Finance Coordinator, you’ll support Financial Management Associates (FMAs) with their day-to-day responsibilities. You’ll help maintain and post engagement letter documents, and confirm that client invoices are accurate and mailed on time. You’ll also maintain client billing files in accordance with Area and firm guidelines, and help retrieve documents for internal and external quality reviews. In addition, you’ll be expected to coordinate the check request process, and deal with any other ad hoc requests.

In this role, you’ll develop a strong knowledge of Ernst & Young’s finance quality requirements

Responsibilities

Work closely with the engagement letter repositories (e.g., Tax Engagement Letter Repository (TELR)), and enter client and engagement information into the database(s). Update the database(s) with changes, to confirm that accurate and up-to-date information is readily available
Support the Area Director of Tax Policy and Implementation with the TELR exemption process
Generate engagement letter non-compliance listings
Review, print and mail client invoices. Working with the Financial Assistant and Shared Services group, print and send out client invoices, and complete all Schedule A billing on a timely basis
May reprint and distribute electronic invoice copies, as requested
Maintain Area-wide electronic billing files. Where hard copy files exist, coordinate with local resources to complete this task
Help retrieve documents (engagement letters, invoices, etc.) required for Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Audit Quality Review, Tax Quality Review, and any other internal or external reviews
Assist FMAs in coordinating check requests, as needed
Participate on special projects or ad hoc requests
Help gather data and coordinate processes across the Area, at the direction of the FMA Manager or Supervisor

Knowledge and skills requirements

Proficient with personal computer and spreadsheet software
English language skills – excellent written and verbal communication
Strong attention to detail
A task-oriented approach
Ability to work well in a team environment
Competent at multi-tasking

Experience

A minimum of 1-2 years work experience in a professional environment, in a financial and/or business capacity

Education

College or 2-year Associates degree, or equivalent experience
