Wyman-Gordon, located in Grafton MA, is a major industrial manufacturer serving a wide range of industries including aerospace, power generation, and industrial businesses. The purpose of this position is to provide program support to both Manufacturing and the Process Control organization.  In this capacity, the position will support/facilitate manufacturing process improvement efforts and plans.  This position will also be responsible for implementing cost reductions, introduce and implement Statistical Process Control techniques as well as associated measurement and control systems, assist and develop Training program initiatives, and provide administrative and program support to Reengineering activities at the site.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support and facilitate Manufacturing Process Improvement efforts and plans.
• Develop and initiate cost reduction programs in the assigned manufacturing area.
• Introduce and implement SPC techniques and associated measurement and control systems.
• Assist and develop Training program initiatives.
• Provide Administrative support to Reengineering activities.

• 4 Year degree in engineering (Mechanical/Industrial, Electrical) or equivalent work experience
• Strong knowledge of forging or metal working processes preferred
• Able to drive change in demanding atmosphere

• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Good computer skills (basic Microsoft software packages).
• Working knowledge of SPC tools and techniques.
• Self motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as a team member.
• Good organizational and writing skills.
