Candidate will provide network administration support to the 513EWS.  They must have excellent understanding of networking technologies including TCP/IP, WANs, LANs, and commonly used protocols/standards such as DHCP, DNS, WINS, (E)SMTP, HTTP(S), FTP, RADIUS, IPSec, TLS/SSL, PKI, Telnet, SNMP, POP, LDAP, SSH, RDP, ect…  Provide administration and engineering support for layer 2 and 3 network communications throughout the networks.  Modify Network configuration to add new network services, remove unnecessary or expired services and enhance existing services while maintaining firewall security policy.  Resolve operational issues and provide instructions on how to fix routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls in the LAN environment.  Perform immediate troubleshooting as the situation dictates for any and all network outages as reported by users, sensors, and/or operational personnel.  Have in-depth knowledge and be capable of troubleshooting layers 1-7 of the OSI model in an operational environment.  Configure, install and replace Network gear as needed.  Configure, install, monitor, upgrade and maintain information assurance equipment suites (IDS/IPS) and the networks that are protected by those suites.  Create technical documentation, network diagrams, inventory control documentation, and security documentation to support DIACAP accreditation process for new technology or service initiatives.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
• CompTIA Security+ Required
• Cisco CCNA or CCNP preffered

• Experience administering Fortinet/Sidewinder firewalls, applying inbound and outbound rule sets.
• Must have experience administering a verity of Cisco products
• Experience configuring the network infrastructure gear to include encryption devices, such as TACLANEs.
• Experience utilizing a verity of network monitoring tools to isolate events before service degradation occurs.
