Principal Packaging Engineer

Haemonetics Key Characteristics: Apply advanced/expert knowledge to supporting global manufacturing plants with cost effective and robust packaging while meeting customer and regulatory requirements. Develop solutions to protect the integrity of medical device products and accessories during shipping, handling and storage. Must research the exposure of the packaging to various shipping and environmental conditions and design packaging to maintain integrity under these conditions and throughout all global distribution channels. Accountable for developing and implementing standardized packaging validation methods. Responsible for packaging design from start to finish, including manufacturing ready design drawings and specifications; building and testing of design prototypes; and optimizing palletization and containerization. Develop standardized internal processes for labeling, from documentation and format of labels to labeling application. Must ensure packaging solutions meet all applicable claims and regulations including, but not limited to, product labeling, product sterilization requirements, product age testing requirements, vibration and drop test requirement.
