This position will report to the West Divisional Vice President and will cover the Pacific Northwest area to include OR, WA, ID, WY, MT, CO & UT. The preferred base location for this role is either Seattle of Portland. Candidates outside of this area should expect increased travel up to 80% (day and overnight) with extensive time spent in market

The Mission and Vision of AutoTrader.com is to: Dramatically Improve the Way People Buy and Sell New and Used Cars and To Be The Best One-stop Shopping Destination For Consumers and The Best Advertising Value For Dealers and OEMs. Our efforts to achieve this are led by a network of national and local sales management, sales representatives and sales support personnel located throughout the United States.

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) is responsible for the development, training and management of their sales team with a focus on reaching and exceeding Regional goals. They will lead through challenges that exist and focus efforts on building strong business relationships with their dealer customers and business partners. The RSD must have the ability to effectively work with and advise the external customer and the internal team to ensure success.

They will drive the vision, mission and strategy with the sales force to position the ATC value proposition and to provide successful ongoing service while assisting in the development of new ideas based on an industry data of needs in the market. The RSD must have strong development and management skills coupled with strong strategic planning, organizational and implementation skills. The RSD will need to possess a creative problem solving mindset, an entrepreneurial spirit, excellent people skills, and prior experience leading a sales, media or consumer oriented business.

The key activities and responsibilities of the RSD are: (but not limited to)
- Leadership and Development of People and Teams

- Sales and Business Management
- Development and Execution of Business Strategy
- Development and Delivery of Revenue Goals
- Management and Analysis of Metrics, Budget, and Reporting
- Community and Industry Involvement
- Continuous Improvement and a Dedication to Operational Excellence and Discipline
- Development of Long Term Growth Plans

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 8+ years outside sales experience; advertising sales experience strongly preferred
- 5+ years managing people preferably in an outside sales role
- 3+ years of sales account management experience required, preferably advertising, online or automotive
- Prior experience with P&L and budget responsibility
- Ability to represent AutoTrader.com to the automotive industry and model Company values by creating a positive impression of the company
- Knowledgeable in various technologies
- Strong written and verbal presentation, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong development, training and management background required
- Ability to travel 50%
