    Responsible for overseeing day to day execution of GECFI’s IT audit for assigned audit entities and critical systems. This includes audit planning, coordination, risk assessments, & execution of audit plans. Coach & guide team members, drive awareness of emerging technology risks & industry trends. Drive timely reporting to management, regulators, and other key audit stakeholders. Preferred location is Salt Lake City, UT but may be located elsewhere.

  • Ensure timely completion, maintenance, and execution of the IT audit plan and risk assessment for assigned audit entities and critical systems & infrastructure
  • Work closely with GECFI’s audit team & GE Capital’s IT internal audit team as well as Corporate Audit Staff (CAS) and Loan Review.
  • Interact regularly with external auditors to ensure effective, risk focused, and efficient IT audit coverage
  • Partner with GECFI’s IT team to drive successful audits, exams, and follow up actions as required
  • Oversee execution of audits to drive high quality and timely results
  • Perform management reviews of audit related documentation for quality
  • Manage communication to stakeholders. Interact with GE Capital and GECFI regulators as needed.
  • Develop and coach team members, particularly on deep technical audits and GECIA audit process & procedure. Lead IT audit related training.
  • Optimize tools and IT audit approach through internal/external best practice sharing.
  • Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 5 years experience in audit, governance, compliance, internal controls, public accounting, corporate controls or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years focused on IT, with strong expertise in one or more of the following areas of technology: Infrastructure (e.g. servers, storage, O/S), Network, Information Security, Application Development or Support.

  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.

  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Salt Lake City, UT, but open to other locations.

  • Experience in financial services industry and working directly with regulators such as FDIC, Federal Reserve, OTS, OCC
  • Detailed understanding of FFIEC guidelines
  • Detailed understanding of industry accepted IT governance standards (i.e. COBIT, ITIL)
  • Detailed understanding of internal auditing standards & requirements, as set out by IIA and BIS
  • Internationally recognized auditing qualification such as CIA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, GSNA, or GSAE
  • Other professional certifications such as CPA a strong plus
  • Excellent analytical/technical skills
  • Strong oral communication, business writing, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Proven ability to execute across multiple locations and stakeholder groups. Ability to influence others effectively across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in project management and formal team leadership
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Master’s degree
