Coordinate and streamline the financial planning, analysis, and reporting processes including: business reviews, monthly reporting, quarterly financial estimates, annual operating plans, and the financial components of strategic planning. Conduct complex financial analysis in making important business decisions.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in, and may lead, the monthly close process which includes reconciliation of internal accounts, comparing actual performance to latest financial outlook, preparing revenue and expense accruals, and reviewing accuracy of revenue, gross margin and expense information.
- Develop revenue/expense analyses, reports and presentations; present to senior management as required.
- Perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analysis and modeling as required.
- Participate in the strategic planning and annual budget process as needed.
- Work cross-functionally throughout the organization, serving as the lead financial contact if applicable.
- Partner in business decisions including analysis for marketing programs, new product development and acquisitions.
- Identify, develop and facilitate processes and improvements in planning, analysis and reporting. This includes leveraging information technology to automate, streamline, and integrate processes.
- Identify, develop and facilitate processes to monitor both financial and non-financial measures.
- Work with multiple systems including SAP, TM1, and Business Objects for use in information retrieval and analyses.
- Monitor internal control environment. Identify gap in controls and present approach to mitigate exposure.
- Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and present findings to management.
- May perform management responsibilities: recruit, hire, train, coach, performance manage, and develop highly talented and motivated individuals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related business concentration
- MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 4 – 6 years experience in financial/business planning and analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge in Accounting and financial analysis
- Knowledge of internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Strong analytical ability
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to present complex business ideas
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid MS Office skills (i.e. Excel, Word, etc.)
- SAP and TM1 experience preferred
