This exempt position is for a Lockheed Martin Enterprise (LM) Business Services (EBS) System Administrator supporting LM site in Riviera Beach, Florida.

This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing change within the IT Infrastructure environment as it pertains to the server infrastructure at the Riviera Beach site as well as sites across the Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) business. This includes gathering requirements, developing and conducting design reviews, along with “as approved” implementations within the supported infrastructures as well as the complex site based Classified infrastructure.
This position supports a range of local and remote systems that include Microsoft Windows Server 2003/2008, VMware, and associated backup and recovery resources. Responsibilities include the installation, configuration, and management of Windows Server operating systems and related tool sets supporting Maritime Systems & Sensors (MS2) business systems. Such support is provided in accordance with Corporate and Business policy, and industry best practices.

Duties include all aspects of daily and hands on Server System administration including a focus on maintaining patching, security compliance and securing servers per LM Corporate and EBS policies, providing user access to data, performing backups, building new servers, installing and supporting server OS and applications, anti-virus protection, print support, technical refresh, new technology integration, project implementation, and other related IT service delivery activities.

Other duties include ensuring consistent documentation, documenting procedures, processes and events, and supporting disaster recovery activities. This position is expansive and may also have other delegated responsibilities and duties assigned.
Position also coordinates and engages virtually with other MS2 support teams to work on MS2-wide projects such as data center consolidation, representing OS support issues, and provide on-call/off hours support for platform support on a rotational basis with other team members.

Additionally, this position will also work closely with groups supporting windows desktops, telecommunications, and business application development. As well as provide technical leadership to junior IT professionals.
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance and it not a virtual/telecommuting position.

Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Secret
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
