| Responsibilities | Admissions LPN is responsible for responding to calls during business hours. This position quickly and efficiently directs calls to the appropriate persons, takes new referrals or additional information from customers, problem-solves and refers clinical issues to appropriate managers. | Minimum Qualifications | Graduation from high school or equivalent. Completion of an approved educational program for practical nursing. Must have an active Colorado LPN license or a license from the state of primary residence, if participating in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).Twelve months nursing experience as an LPN and six months nursing experience in the last three years. Additional experience and/or other requirements may vary by case or department needs. Anyone with less than 12 months hospital-based nursing may be subject to an extended probationary review period. Current and comprehensive knowledge of Agency services, maintained regularly. Current and comprehensive knowledge of Agency/department policies and procedures, maintained regularly. Can hear and interpret medical information received by phone. Can clearly communicate orders and other client information to other in writing and/or verbally, using voice mail. Must be able to prioritize, coordinate, organize and handle several tasks at once at a fast pace. Able to make judgment calls and decisions quickly and effectively. |
