We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy, results-oriented individual with management consulting experience with a background in finance and accounting to join a large government program in Washington, DC. The right candidate is hands-on, a self-starter, enjoys multi-tasking, is flexible, and is passionate about the opportunity to work with highly motivated, skilled professionals in a small business environment.  In this position the team member will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing corporate filings to include various annual financial statements. .

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Candidates should possess:

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and detail orientation
  • Financial and accounting background
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships
  • Familiarity with the Project Management discipline

In addition, Candidates are responsible for advising and assisting in the following areas:

  • Project management capabilities, competence, and skills
  • Develop and track program and project level performance metrics
  • Maintain the repository for status reports, work plans, etc.
  • Utilize MS Word to provide professional Project Management correspondence to the customer
  • Develop professional presentations using MS PowerPoint
  • Conduct post project reviews, lessons learned, and performance score cards

Basic Qualifications

  • BS Degree required; Information Technology, Finance & Accounting, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years related consulting experience
  • Experience with MS Office in general and MS Project; SharePoint, and Excel specifically

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Federal Programs is highly desired
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with DOD acquisition systems and working knowledge of DOD 5000 series and formal program documentation; as well as JCIDS (CJCSI 3170.01G & JCIDS Manual), and the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process is required
  • Five or more years (5+) experience and demonstrated knowledge in formal DOD acquisition management processes, policies, procedures and regulations required
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience in a DOD ACAT I MAIS designated acquisition programs required

Additional Qualifications

  • MBA or MS degree in a related field is preferred
  • DAWIA Level III in Program Management is preferred
  • Program Management Professional Certification (PMP) is highly preferred
  • Former Army experience in ACAT I programs a highly preferred
  • Senior Military HHQ Staff or Congressional Liaison experience is preferred, but not required
  • Extensive knowledge of Clinger-Cohen Act a plus
