Responsibilities |
|
The National Service Group honors Altec’s commitment to be there for the life of the equipment. The promise is backed up by the most complete and comprehensive service and support capability in the industry.
We have 17 service center locations nationwide with the technicians, tools, and equipment needed to get trucks up and running. An extensive fleet of mobile service vehicles and technicians covers the entire United States. This group of trained professionals is the largest in the industry and can offer fast response to any situation.
We also offer the most complete line of parts for equipment repair and maintenance, along with a technical support and training organization to train, educate, and problem solve.
There is an opening for a Dispatcher within Mobile Service East to receive incoming calls from customers and to provide a timely dispatch of jobs to mobile service techs. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience using computers as a tool. A positive and pro-active approach is critical in working with people to resolve issues.
• Serve as primary contact for customer for mobile service, including follow-up to ensure successful completion of work and customer satisfaction.
• Responsible for daily download of service requests and for assisting to create as needed.
• Primary point of contact for other Altec business partners to assist with their need for mobile service support.
• Communicate with Materials to ensure proper parts are available for efficient and timely completion of customer requirements.
• Participate in continuous improvement events.
• Provide back-up support and coordinate with other Dispatchers for seamless coverage.
Must have a commitment to customer support, working in a dynamic environment, analyzing priorities against changing deadlines. |

Basic Qualifications |
|
• High School or GED is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree candidate will be considered with evidence of a technical background and interest through a minimum two years of related experience, such as 1) service writing in a dealership or 2) in Customer Service with related products or 3) in Material support in a related industry.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s, five years of experience as specified above is required instead of two. |
