Job Responsibilities / Qualifications    Responsible for the installation, testing, monitoring, maintenance and certification of telecommunications transmission equipment; associated ancillary electronic equipment and wiring per engineering specifications and operational procedures, both in technical facilities as well as on customer property in accordance with published Verizon Business standards.Performs, teaches and supports others in assembly and installs, testing and diagnostic procedures of transmission equipment, DXC, Switch and a variety of ancillary equipment in accordance with published Verizon Business equipment standards. Performs, teaches and supports others in fiber locates, monitoring of construction activity, fiber splicing and termination.Performs, teaches and supports others in testing and certification procedures , assembly, install, configuration and/or testing on transmission equipment, DXC equipment, Switch equipment, data modems, routers and ancillary equipment in accordance with published Verizon Business equipment standards. Performs, teaches and supports other in utilizing troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques including remote testing of systems to isolate and resolve system and customer related outages. Also includes the completion of periodic maintenance on company transmissions support equipment. Performs, teaches and supports coordination of the installation, testing and turn up of systems with all Original Equipment Manufacturers involved to ensure transmission systems are in accordance with vendor and company specifications.Performs, teaches, and supports others in the maintenance of new and existing circuits through troubleshooting and fault isolation techniques; utilizes remote test systems to isolate and resolve customer circuit outages and impairments up to the highest of complexity.Ensures that all tasks performed on the active Verizon Business network under their direction are completed in accordance with change management guidelines to ensure all customer traffic is protected.Could be assigned to lead a small team of professional installation or testing personnel in the performance of project implementation activities. Must use project management skills on assigned projects.
Qualifications: Demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of job related tools and applications as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. Generally requires 4 -6 years of job-related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
