| Summary of Duties and Responsibilities |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
The Senior Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for understanding and executing annual clinical objectives with our customers. This includes new product in-service, follow up training, customer retention and other educational activities.
New Product In-service
- Working with the sales team and management, coordinate new in-services/installations
- Work with sales team to understand account information including demographics, usage volume and political environment
- Schedule initial In-service within target timeframe of 2 to 4 weeks of install
- Ensure that new accounts have ordered the necessary products and accessories for a successful install/in-service and check to confirm receipt at customer site.
- Record, communicate and track all visits
- Update calendar weekly
Follow up training
- Within 90 days of assignment, prioritize accounts and create a business strategy that takes into account this priority ranking.
- Use Customer Service, Sales team and the clinical team to recognize and address accounts that are in need of additional training
- Provide input on education material and assist with distribution to customer base
- Field clinical questions from customers when necessary and communicate trends or needs to appropriate employee or department
- Target and eliminate competitive presences in each account
Trade show/workshop support
- Support various regional meetings when necessary
- Support regional workshops
- Support customer sponsored events when appropriate
Customer Retention
- Maintain relationships that build loyal customers
- Monitor and manage product usage
- Meet quarterly visit and satisfaction goals
New Employee Training
- Assist in the education of new Hologic sales representatives
- Help oversee new employee orientation and training when asked
- Assist with the creation of training outline for new employees
Sales Support
- Assist with on-site tradeshow and educational course support
- Work closely with sales team to support them in their responsibilities in terms of data collection, customer feedback and competitive feedback
- Help with various sales activities when justified and communicated
Other
- Assume responsibilities for projects which may encompass marketing, sales, education, administrative or other assignment as directed by the Regional Clinical Director
- Assume secondary “on call” responsibilities to support in-service scheduling
Act as resource and provide leadership to clinical education team |

- 3-5 years of clinical training in a medical setting preferably using Ultrasound, Stereotactic (Mammography) and/or MRI imaging modalities
- Must demonstrate strong skills in the education of other medical professionals on Suros products
- Experience working directly for a vendor in a clinical support role
- Account management/sales experience desired
- Available to travel extensively and adapt schedule on short notice
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Oracle and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrates trustworthiness, respect and integrity
- Must be committed to improving patient care
Must live Pacific or Mountain Time Zone: preferably southwest
