Job Description: Universal Music Group is currently searching for an Account Executive in our Universal City, CA office location.

Job Summary:
The Account Executive will manage business plan for designated online, mobile and physical accounts, including development and execution of sales and marketing campaigns and goals. This person will manage excellent relationships with accounts, be able to hit sales objectives and create incremental sales objectives and opportunities. Additionally, this position will be responsible for planning and execution of catalog programs across all product types.

Job Functions:
• Primary liaison between UMGD/labels and account to create marketing plans and advertising strategies for new releases
• Solicit, market and sell-through new releases and product lines
• Oversee special promotional opportunities with accounts (advertising, merchandising, marketing, retail partnership activities)
• Manage sales activities as it relates to goals of the company
• Communicate trends, success, opportunities, and recommendations to UMGD/labels
• Successfully manage relationship with accounts including verification of: launch, product delivery, punctual reporting and on-going partnership maintenance
• Successfully manage relationship and shared goals with marketing team/labels
• Manage the timing of promotions and Master Promotional Calendar with input from the catalog division and other labels
• Set schedule of promotional launch process from title solicitation to account communication
• Oversee the transformation of title submissions into program form to ensure the integrity of the overall program
• Handle special requests from labels & accounts for additions to already launched programs

Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
• Solid experience in selling and marketing in high visibility environment
• Solid understanding of retail sales and marketing strategies through direct professional experience
• Solid understanding of consumer trends
• Solid understanding of customer/partner practices and business needs
• A good knowledge and understanding of P&L’s
• Ability to think creatively and independently, as well as collaboratively
• Ability to operate in a highly collaborative manner and work in pressure situations
• Excellent negotiating and people skills
• Polished presentation skills, ability to appeal to variety of customers
• Ability to craft and deliver executive-level presentations
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and executives
• Minimum 5 years of sales or marketing experience at music company or entertainment based accounts
• Experience in working with a team and managing people
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of Universal systems such as Legacy, Microstrategy, Dashboard, MOPS, etc. a plus
