<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY:</strong> The  Financial Analyst is responsible for providing financial support to the  organization as well as providing Finance Link assistance as needed to  assigned departments.</p>
<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong> Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Strong background in data collection methodology, statistical control and analysis preferred. Certificate in Public Accounting preferred. Must have demonstrated competence in accounting or finance field for 2 &#8211; 3 years. Prefer demonstrated competence in a health care related field for 2 &#8211; 3 years. Must  have demonstrated competence in the use of personal computer using  Windows, electronic spreadsheets (preferably Excel), and word processing  (preferably Word). Experience in a LAN environment with access to other PC applications, electronic mail and a mainframe type computer preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with other individuals at various levels in the organization. Healthy stress management of deadlines. Flexible hours during peak times. Strong analytical, detail-oriented and problem-solving skills. High degree of initiative. Knowledge/skills  with information systems and applications particularly data bases,  statistical packages, spreadsheets, and graphics. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to work with teams or in individual settings. Ability to establish and maintain key working relationships. Knowledge of data sources, data retrieval, analysis and statistical reporting. Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual able to work with minimum supervision.</p>

<td align="left" valign="top"><span>AEGON Asset Management has an opening for an  Senior Financial Systems Accounting Analyst in the Business Technology  Support unit within the Asset Operations department.  This position will  be responsible for combining accounting, derivatives and financial  system knowledge to ensure quality and integrity of data produced by the  securities accounting (PAM) and derivatives trading/accounting (Murex)  systems.  This position will work extensively with numerous departments  and associates, ensuring the accuracy of enterprise-wide data.</p>
<p>The primary responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to:</p>
<p>	Provide daily operational support to production and test environments through both manual and automated processes<br />
	Accurately set up and maintain information such as portfolios, bank accounts, and general ledger information<br />
	Maintain a positive, proactive relationship with customers<br />
	Work directly with the vendor to resolve system deficiencies<br />
	Efficiently and accurately create, maintain or modify advanced level and/or ad hoc reports<br />
	Research and recommend accounting processing treatment for complex accounting transactions within the core system<br />
	Create and maintain procedural documentation<br />
	Understand the flow of information to identify and resolve problems and/or inefficiencies<br />
	Identify opportunities for improvement by exploiting system capabilities to meet divisional and/or department goals<br />

<li>Work to support claims by assisting in evaluating and  responding to coverage disputes, late data, and requests to change  initial data received via the internal administrative review process.   Along with monitoring agent performance and conducting quality assurance  reviews.</li>
<li>Participate on regional quality service team as needed.</li>

<p><strong>What It Takes<br />

Ideally you will have a bachelor&#8217;s  degree in business/management or an agricultural sciences area or 4-7  years experience working in the crop insurance industry. <p style="margin: 0px">The  Educational Consultant has responsibility for all aspects of the project  over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close).  Must  be familiar with system scope and project objectives as well as the role  and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the  activities of the team.  Responsible for assembling project team,  assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources  needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of  project.  May communicate with the Senior Educational Consultant,  Functional Area Manager, or Program Manager regarding status of specific  projects.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px"><strong>PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">1.  Execute the tasks as defined in the project plan in order to achieve the project goals.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">2.   Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project  costs using appropriate verification techniques in order to keep the  project plan accurate, updated, reflective of authorized project changes  as defined in the change management plan, and facilitate customer  acceptance.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">3.   Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques in  order to monitor the progress of the project, identify and quantify any  variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to  all stakeholders.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">4.   Ensure a common understanding by setting expectations in accordance  with the Project Plan, in order to align the stakeholders and team  members. Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to  mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the  risks on the project.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">5.   Record detailed customer requirements, constraints, and assumptions  with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using  requirement-gathering techniques (e.g., planning sessions,  brainstorming, focus groups) and the project charter.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">6. Conduct  a kick-off meeting with all key stakeholders in order to announce the  start of the project and review the overall project plan and gain  consensus.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px">
<p style="margin: 0px">7.  Implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate  project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the  project.</p>

<p style="margin: 0px">8. The  primary projects this individual will be responsible for is the  development of curriculum artifacts for a key customer account.  .  The  following is a list of specific roles/duties that Pearson would expect  the Educational Consultant to conduct with regard to this project:</p>

<p><strong>What are the Major Duties of this Position?</strong></p>
<p>In  the Education Department at a federal correctional facility, incumbent  provides integrated programs in educational training to inmates, and  will be primarily required to teach Literacy, General Educational  Development (GED), and English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL). Incumbent  plans and conducts an individualized instructional program based on  assessment data, knowledge of teaching strategies, learning styles, and  availability of resources. Selects appropriate individualized teaching  techniques, and select, order and use a wide diversity of instructional  materials based on student needs and abilities. Designs, develops and  implements curricula to meet the diverse learning needs of inmates.</p>
<p>Along  with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged  with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The  staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this  position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.</p></div>

<p>To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Basic Requirements:</span></strong></p>
<p>A.  Degree &#8211; Included or was supplemented by supervised student teaching  and at least one course in each of the following areas: general  psychology, human development, history and/or philosophy of education,  and teaching methods at the learning level of the position to be filled,  i.e., elementary or secondary learning level.</p>
<p><strong>OR</strong></p>
<p>B.  Combination of education and experience &#8211; Applicants who have completed  a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university  leading to a bachelor&#8217;s degree but who do not meet the specific course  requirements shown above meet minimum qualification requirements if they  have completed at least 1 full academic year of professional teaching  experience at the elementary or secondary school level as appropriate to  the position to be filled.</p>
<p>Professional teaching experience is  defined as full and primary responsibility for the instruction of  assigned students under general supervision in a recognized or  accredited school or institution. This includes responsibility for  preparation and presentation of lessons and the evaluation of students&#8217;  progress throughout the learning period, including a determination of  the students&#8217; success or failure according to established criteria.</p>

<h3>WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT:</h3>
<p>We will notify you of the outcome after each step of  the application process has been completed.  Applicants will be notified  via e-mail, to the e-mail address registered in USAJOBS.  The referral  certificate or list of eligibles will then be issued to the selecting  official for further consideration.  The Human Resource Office may then  contact you for an interview if they wish.  We expect to make a final  job offer within 80 days after the closing date of the announcement.</p>
