It determines your productivity and how far you will go in achieving full self-realization. It governs your happiness, the happiness of your family, where you live, and how well. The quality of the job you land now will inevitably affect the quality of your next one. It will even determine the kind of education and opportunities your children will have and, consequently, their future prospects. Not to mention whether your retirement years will be beautiful or bleak. With all that and so much more hanging on the outcome, good sense says you should proceed with your job-finding campaign as though your life depends on it. In fact, most of it does.</p>
<p>When you get right down to it, aiming for a really good job doesn&#8217;t require more effort than setting your sights on a poor one. And aiming high leaves you in far better control of the outcome. Consequently, it is plainly your duty &#8211; your duty to yourself, your family, your new employer, even to society – to proceed with your job search in ways that will produce work as close as possible to the peak of your abilities and at the highest possible pay. Yet, few job seekers – even though their careers, their lives, are on the line – sense that such urgent considerations require a carefully planned approach. And, unhappily, it is generally not in the interest of people who know better – the employment agencies and other applicant services – to show them a better way.</p>
<p>So that you will know what to avoid and the strong advantage you will have if you plans your approach, it is important to understand this: Most people – and that includes others who want the job you want – do a very poor job of job finding. In the absence of adequate guidance, their only alternative is to cast about in the job market while painfully learning lessons by trial and error that have already been painfully learned, at least in some small parts, by tens of millions of applicants before them – at a great cost of time, money, morale, and employment. Virtually all make critical – and entirely avoidable – mistakes, mistakes that delay the day when they are hired.</p>
<p>Now perhaps you are one of the many recent unfortunate who have been downsized by their company, or maybe you are beginning a job search so you can enhance your career. Which ever the case may be, looking for employment in today&#8217;s highly competitive job market is not easy. There are so many good candidates competing for the same position today, that landing your &#8220;dream job&#8221; is becoming more and more difficult.</p>
<p>That being the case, when an opportunity arises where you are called to go on job interviews, you need to be ready, and fully prepared. The employment interview is by far, the single most important step in landing a job. Advertised Summary Job Description 	The Accounting Coordinator I will work with the International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) under the director of the Manager, Accounting &#038; Cash Management. The incumbent will be responsible for: data entry of all transaction data (summary level) into the university&#8217;s books and records on behalf of country officials; updating tracking systems; maintain account and vendor files.<br />
Incumbent will also check that expenditures are allocated to the correct account number and line item (sub-code) and review transactions to ensure proper approvals, supporting documentation, and compliance with government regulations and university policies.<br />
Assist with follow up and resolution on all outstanding reconciling items.<br />
Minimum Qualifications for Grade<br />

<p>The first thing you will want to do before looking for job is to write up a good resume. If the job is very professional you will need both a resume and a curriculum vitae. You will also want to make sure you use a cover letter. Resumes should always be submitted for full-time jobs in specialized fields.</p>
<p>Most part-time jobs will not require you to fill out an application. If you are going for a professional position, it is important to realize that your resume is the most important factor in helping you get a job. Writing a resume with poor grammar or spelling errors will get you rejected. You want to make sure you use a nice cover letter. It is also important to make sure the document is printed out on a laser printer if possible. Dot matrix printers and older typewriters will not give your document a professional look.</p>
<p>It is crucial to make sure your cover letters are personalized. Employers receive lots of resumes on a daily basis, and will toss yours in the trash if they feel that it was &#8220;mass printed.&#8221; Print the first and last name of the prospective employer on the cover letter, and make sure it is addressed to them. After you&#8217;ve done this, you will next want to sell yourself to prospective employers. What skills and qualities do you have that will make you a good candidate for the job? <p>Responsibilities:</p>
<p>PRIMARY FUNCTION</p>
<p>    * Accounting support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City (NSWC PC) Comptroller Office Accounting Division, Code CDM.<br />
    *  Key functions are in the area of general and cost accounting and the finance areas of travel, and voucher examination.  The major focus of the division is direct accounting and financial support. </p>
<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &#038; RESPONSIBILITIES</p>
<p>    * Assist travelers with the creation of travel authorizations and travel vouchers, both personally, and via info transmitted, by them, via fax and e-mail, or in person.<br />
    * Examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for official government travel.<br />
    * Knowledge of procedures and regulations required to examine vouchers and related documents is required.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</p>
<p>    * o Requires a basic understanding of the rules and regulations governing the performance of official government travel and subsequent allowances and entitlements.(Defense Travel System, DTS)<br />
    * o Requires knowledge of accounting and travel systems, standard accounting codes, classifications, and terminology and the ability to apply various accounting and travel methods and techniques.<br />
    * o Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance </p>
<p>EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS</p>
<p>    * Shall be proficient in the use of personal computers to include Excel/PowerPoint/Word/and Outlook, for daily communication and providing a variety of reoccurring reports.<br />
    * Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills required.<br />
    * Must have great phone skills and the ability to multitask is critical.</p>
<p>WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p>
<p>    * General office environment, No special physical demands required. Some lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds required.</p>
