<p>PARSONS is hiring a Construction Inspector with Civil/Architectural experience to support a project a Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU).</p>
<p>SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>
<p>Perform civil and architectural construction inspection duties under supervision of the Parsons Construction Manager, Parsons Project Managers and the Senior Inspector to ensure construction contractors&#8217; compliance with contract requirements.  Prepare a written Daily Inspection Report for each shift worked by the contractor and/or subcontractors for which the inspector is responsible. In the Daily Inspection Report, the inspector will report and document construction progress and compliance in accordance with the following guidelines:</p>
<p>·          Record detailed description and location of work performed. Note any work in progress by others that might affect the contract.</p>
<p>·       Record quantities of work performed as well as quantities of major materials installed. Note major materials delivered to the job site</p>
<p>·          Record manpower count by craft and/or subcontractor.</p>
<p>·          Record specific equipment utilized and usage hours for each craft and/or subcontractor. Note all idle equipment on the job site and why, i.e., storage, delay, etc.</p>
<p>·          Record results or note occurrence of any specific inspection/quality test or other tests performed. Note specification requirement against which inspection/test was performed and whether work was acceptable. Identify major deficiencies.</p>
<p>·          Highlight any unusual condition or major problem.</p>
<p>·          Record the cause and duration of any delay.</p>
<p>·          Record any accident.</p>
<p>·          Identify visitors to the job site and pertinent discussions.</p>
<p>·          Record any request from, or instructions to, the Contractor.</p>
<p>·          Record any event or comment pertinent to the work (particular emphasis on any event or action that could result in a future claim or litigation).</p>
<p>·          Document with photographs any unusual conditions, safety violations, quality concerns, etc.</p>
<p>Witness contractor tests, verify dimensions and alignments and perform other duties as appropriate.</p>
<p>PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:<br />
2-year degree in a technical discipline or construction-related field, or a high school diploma and equivalent work experience, is required. Also requires 10+ years of related experience on heavy construction projects, as well as formal certification from an independent organization, depending on type of inspection assignment.</p>
<p>SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:<br />
Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications, be totally familiar with construction-related processes related to area of assignment, and have the potential to perform in a lead capacity.</p>

Shaw is looking for personnel with construction skills/experience and disaster response background to be &#8220;on call&#8221; in order to respond within 24 hours. Missions may include but are not limited to sheltering, housing, contingency planning, facility management, construction services, etc.<br />

<p>Knowledge of all aspects of commercial hospital mechanical construction including but not limited to underground mechanical installation, high and low voltage power distribution, emergency engine generators and transfer switches, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, and installation of special medical equipment<br />
Job Description : 	Will conduct daily inspections of site work, building construction work; document discrepancies, code violations, improper materials or techniques in the application of materials, substandard or poor quality workmanship; monitors schedules on various aspects of ongoing daily activities to identify and mitigate project slippage and coordinate phasing portions of the project</p>
<p>Reviews contractor&#8217;s cost breakdown and submittals on proposed equipment and materials; maintains accurate and complete job files including as-built drawings and specifications; identifies progress delays and recommends appropriate corrective measures toward mitigating delays and maintaining the progress schedule</p>
<p>Plans and coordinates disruptions to utility services as needed to keep construction progress on schedule timeline and to minimize disruption to ongoing VA operations; maintains an inventory of materials, supplies and equipment and monitors the quantity of materials used in the general administration and conduct of office operations</p>

Job Description : 	EG&#038;G is an experienced NASA/AF contractor with over 40 years of experience supporting mission critical systems for NASA, the USAF, and other government agencies. We have recently been awarded the NASA KSC Institutional Services Contract (ISC) at Kennedy Space Center.</p>
<p>EG&#038;G is actively seeking an Engineering Services Construction Inspector to support our Kennedy Space Center operation. The chosen candidate will:</p>
<p>Provide inspection services to assigned construction projects to include: daily log reporting, inspection of work by other per approved drawings and specifications and approved shop drawings; identification and tracking of non-conforming work or materials, compliance with approved safety plans and State and Federal environmental regulations and permits. May serve in a project or site lead role. Witness all specified testing in addition to mandatory hold point inspections such as fire alarm systems, piping pressure testing, and insulation resistance. Develop official project punch lists from scheduled project walk downs. Monitors contractor work methods and safety practices for compliance with design specifications and drawings. Serve as liaison between contractor, engineering, support organizations, safety, security, operation management, and fire inspection personnel during constriction phase. Perform or assist with any departmental operations, in order to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions. Review construction project documentation for structural welding requirements. Provide real-time support to Customer on field aspects of inspection effort.<br />
