This is an entry level non-exempt position. Under the direction of management, and in accordance with the corporate policy and standard operating procedures, concentrates efforts on assisting management in the administrative aspects of distribution center operation.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

§ Actively participates in the daily operations under the direction of management

§ Operate all office equipment including copy machine, fax and computer system. Also handle electronic and manual C.O.I.’s

§ Produce reports and assist to complete route maintenance such as sequencing of delivery lists and routing of subscriber accounts to insure the most efficient order and timeliness of delivery

§ Assist in maintaining a daily record of contracted routes serviced, truck and contracted carrier arrival times, systems problems, and answers to customers’ complaints

§ Assist management in contracting independent carriers within the scope of the agreement

§ In the absence of management, prepare weekly route settlement to insure accurate compensation to contractors for services rendered

§ Inform contracted carriers or distribution generalists of customer complaints on their respective geographic territories on a daily basis and follow-up any service complaints to insure situations have been resolved

§ Learn layout of all geographic territories serviced from the distribution center and periodically audit routes for efficiency

UPS Supply Chain Solutions is currently seeking a Distribution Supervisor to work in the UPS Mail Innovations Regional Processing Facility. This person will have key responsibilities in supervising operations related to mail receiving, processing, sorting and shipping operations, as well coordinating with facility administrative activities.

The Distribution Supervisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise the activities of staff in mail receiving, processing, sorting and shipping operations in a timely, cost effective manner, consistent with established operations procedures and USPS requirements.
