<p>      Physical Demands: Requires standing, walking and other movement for extended periods of time, the ability to move with in and between rooms where patients are treated, the ability to position, transfer and ambulate patients. Requires the ability to move equipment occasionally requiring the force to push/pull 20 pounds and frequently requiring the force to push/pull 10 pounds.  Precise hand eye coordination and finger dexterity is required to perform treatments. Requires the ability to visually distinguish letters and symbols and visually assess the patient. <p>Purpose</p>
<p>The Education Compliance Specialist is responsible for implementing, communicating, and coordinating special and alternative education policies and procedures that are aligned with current best practices, juvenile justice education standards, and state DOE requirements. The compliance specialist collaboratively works as a liaison between EYA programs, contracted school boards, Juvenile Justice Education Departments, and respective State Department of Educations. Key functions are to provide technical assistance in the areas of exceptional student education services, alternative education services, and professional development of EYA instructional staff.</p>
<p>Duties</p>
<p>•Formulates, develops, and implements EYA policy and procedures that will enable programs to comply with educational federal laws, State Board Rules, and legislative mandates that are related to at-risk youth.</p>
<p>•Provide technical assistance related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of special and alternative education programs.</p>
<p>•Monitors the progress of School Improvement Plans and provides assistance in their development, implementation, and evaluation.</p>
<p>•Participates in goal setting and planning process within the EYA education department based upon the organization&#8217;s vision, mission and values.</p>
<p>•Solicits teacher input for the development of training goals based upon individual and program needs.</p>
<p>•Provides input for facility staffing and special education service delivery models in conjunction with EYA and local LEA’s.</p>
<p>•Facilitates and monitors professional development opportunities for teachers and education coordinators.</p>
<p>•Plans and conducts professional development opportunities for education staff.</p>
<p>•Coordinates verification process of submitting in-service component points to appropriate agencies for teacher certification renewal.</p>
<p>•Interprets the impact of federal, state, and local school board policy as it relates to special education, adjudicated, and at-risk youth.</p>
<p>•Develops, facilitates, and revises the beginning teacher program based upon state guidelines.</p>

<p>•Participates in professional development opportunities in the areas of curriculum development, special education, juvenile justice standards, and facilitation strategies.</p>

<p>Position Requirements</p>
<p>Master&#8217;s Degree in education. Hold or be eligible for State of Florida professional certification in any special education endorsement area. Minimum of three years in a related professional experience and three years of teaching experience in special education. Must demonstrate experience in curriculum planning, and educational leadership.<br />

<p>General Dynamics Information Technology has an immediate opening for an Education Research Analyst to support the development of curriculum for the AF Counter Proliferation Center located at Air University, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. The candidate must be able to research and analyze nuclear enterprise issues for Professional Military Education programs and exercises of interest to the USAF and DOD. They will specifically examine the following areas:</p>
<p>(1) Nuclear and strategic deterrence theory: relevance and role of nuclear weapons including strategy and policy issues;<br />
(2) Nuclear enterprise and organization issues;<br />
(3) Regional nuclear security issues to include proliferation, non-proliferation, and political issues;<br />
(4) Nuclear employment plans and issues;<br />
(5) History of nuclear weapons and AF lessons learned to include recent events;<br />
(6) Nuclear surety including Personal Reliability Program (PRP) compliance, safety, security, and reliability issues.</p>
<p>Candidates can expect to participate in meetings, briefings, and teleconferences associated with the task. In addition, this person will aid in defining what level of knowledge, comprehension, application appropriate for each of the areas listed above at each educational institution. The applicant will be working with the Barnes Center for Enlisted Education: Airman Leadership Schools, CONUS Non-Commissioned Officers Academies, Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy; the Spaatz Center for Officer Education: Air and Space Basic Course, Squadron Officers College, Air Command and Staff College, Air War College, AF Fellows; the LeMay Center for Doctrine Development and Education; and the Eaker College for Professional Development.</p>
<p>• Masters degree with Professional Military Education or a terminal degree in relevant field is highly desirable<br />
• Completion of Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy is highly desirable</p>
<p>• Record of proven military performance in the fields of nuclear weapons operations, reliability, maintenance or policy strategy and doctrine is required.<br />
• In-depth understanding of nuclear strategic and operational challenges and solutions in the international and regional security environments.<br />
• In-depth knowledge of the Air Force Nuclear Enterprise.<br />
• Strong working knowledge of curriculum development processes.<br />
• Military or civilian experience at a senior level with Air Force or other government agencies<br />
• Clear and effective communicator with a demonstrated writing, speaking, and editing capability.<br />
• Instruction and teaching experience highly desirable</p>

<p>Position Description:<br />
POSITION SUMMARY:<br />
The Family Life Education Counselor provides education, information, and individual/family counseling to better assist military families on preparing for and dealing with the stresses placed upon them by the unique and challenging Air Force lifestyle. Interfaces with customer mission support and contracting management personnel as required to ensure efficient and satisfactory support of customer requirements. Accomplishes other administrative tasks as required to ensure effective contractor mission support customer support to Maxwell/Gunter AFB.</p>
<p>MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:<br />
1. Provide information, education, and specified programs designed to assist military families in preparing for current and future changes.<br />
2. Develop and maintain specific programs for customers in target audiences. Programs may include but not be limited to: Heart Link, Family Enrichment, Preparing for Marriage, Parenting Training, Stress Management, Step-Parenting, Family Finance, Investments, and Self-Evaluation.<br />
3. Coordinate efforts from on- and off-installation agencies as required to facilitate program creation and populate information sources.<br />
4. Develop, procure, and maintain requisite books, pamphlets, videos, and other information sources for members.<br />
5. Performs other duties and assignments as required.</p>
<p>MATERIAL &#038; EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED: Standard office automation equipment and software, and other general office equipment.</p>
<p>WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:<br />
1. Works in a general office environment.<br />
2. Must be able to lift/push/pull 5 lbs.</p>
<p>Experience Requirements:<br />
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>Education: Bachelors Degree or related experience required.</p>
<p>Experience: Five years (prior Air Force experience preferred) of related experience to include a minimum of three years general experience providing a good basis or general knowledge of the principles of organization, management, and administration. </p>
