Level 3 Communications is looking for a General Manager to be based in our downtown NYC office. This person will maximize revenue growth in the local market area by capitalizing on existing network infrastructure, interconnected LEC central offices, and local market knowledge of viable customer segments and competitive situation. This individual will manage sales, installs, customer commit dates, trouble tickets, MTTR, disputes and accounts receivable via direct reports and dotted line relationships. Will be responsible for costs including gross margin, opex, netex and capex.</p>
<p>Essential Duties:</p>
<p>•Design and build a field sales force that maximizes revenue growth (appropriate mix between lower-quota, less-experienced sales personnel and higher-quota, more-experienced personnel). Coordinate with inside and partner field channels. Direct profit and loss responsibility with incentives to support not only local business market initiatives but also wholesale market nationals and content market initiatives.<br />
•Design go-to-market product, pricing and promotion solutions in concert with offer management, product, marketing and network planning.<br />
•Direct accountability and authority within appropriate organizational structure for sales, sales operations, sales engineering, sales support, network planning, and field operations. Evangelize strategy and coordinate/prioritize efforts of both direct reports and matrix staff including order entry, service delivery project managers, service consultants, sales engineers, regional network planners, billing dispute specialists, accounts receivable, technical support center and field operations.<br />
•Evaluate capital spending projects and present for approval. Has some direct capital spending authority for success-based projects. Capital planning, budgeting and spending within certain authority limits. Coordinate market financial statements and capital spending tracking with finance department.<br />
•Serve as the escalation point of the company to customers and local business community.</p>
<p>Required Skills/Experience:<br />
•At least seven years of relevant experience.<br />
•Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, or similar or equivalent experience<br />
•Prefer experience as a successful General Manager in a telecom sales environment with enterprise and mid-market telecom sales management experience and owning the customer experience in managed local market areas.<br />
•Understand and evaluate network infrastructure; challenges and opportunities.<br />

<p>The State and Local Tax Manager is responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries.  Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; providing primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities.  The SALT Manager is responsible for an assigned group of clients.</p>
<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<br />
-Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.<br />
-Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client services teams on client engagements; plan, execute, direct, and complete tax projects in a wide variety of industries; provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; and manage to budget.<br />
-Manage, develop, train, and mentor staff on tax projects and assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews.<br />
-Deliver a full range of State and Local Tax services including tax return preparation and review, tax research, preparation of technical memorandums, drafting client correspondence, and counseling client in defending against state audits.<br />
-Conduct primary and secondary review of complicated State and Local tax returns.<br />
-Manage multi-disciplinary, multi-state reviews that analyze income, franchise, sales and use, payroll, valorem taxes, and others to identify optimal filing options, exemptions, credits and incentives, and corporate structures that can reduce the client&#8217;s tax burden.<br />
-Develop a project vision and set challenging personal and client service team goals.<br />
-Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, make sure deadlines are met, and lead change efforts effectively.<br />
-Consult, work with, and service client to make recommendations on business and process improvement and serve as a business advisor to client.<br />
-Work closely with partners, managers, and staff to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development.<br />
-Team with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls.<br />
-Maintain strong client relations and cross-sell services within the assigned group of clients.<br />
-Recruit and retain senior associates and associates.<br />

<p>QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS<br />
-Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Accounting.  CPA, Masters in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or JD.<br />
-Five to seven years of progressive State and Local Tax consulting and/or compliance experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.<br />
-Broad exposure to State and Local Taxes including knowledge in State Income/Franchise Tax, Credits and Incentives, Sales and Use Tax, with Property Tax a plus; must be eager to work on a variety of SALT issues and not specialize in one particular area.<br />
-Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP, tax compliance, corporate consolidated returns, and combined state tax returns.<br />
-Ability to manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment.<br />
-Practice development experience is preferred.<br />
-Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.<br />

<p>Job Objective </p>

Participate in monthly continuous improvement conference calls with the HR Services Center.<br />

Job Overview This position is responsible for preparing comprehensive financial reports and analysis over the Burger King Corporation’s real estate assets.  The position is also responsible for managing the data integrity of the global franchise and restaurant management system (ARIES).</p>
<p>Principle Responsibilities</p>
<p>·         Preparation of North America real estate financial models. Incorporate new financial return concepts into the financial evaluation process.</p>
<p>·         Participate in strategic projects involving real estate (including portfolio valuation, large acquisitions or divestitures, creation of real estate strategy and direction).</p>
<p>·         Preparation of the Real Estate strategic plan, forecasts, Global financial reporting, real estate capital plan vs. actual spending.  Perform analysis on monthly Real Estate Global profit and loss statements.</p>
<p>·         Implementation of global franchise/restaurant management strategy (ARIES) including processes over system access, change management and data integrity. </p>
<p>·         Preparation of post mortem analysis and commentary on real estate capital investments.</p>
<p>Requirements/Qualifications ·         Related undergraduate degree (accounting or finance) required</p>
<p>·         Graduate degree in a related field and/or professional certification such as CPA is recommended </p>
<p>·         3 &#8211; 6 years progressive financial experience</p>
<p>·         Significant experience in public accounting, preferably “Big 4”, and/or with a world-class finance department</p>
<p>·         Experience in QSR or retail environment a plus</p>
<p>·         The position will require strong oral, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and develop relationships with all levels of management</p>
<p>·         In-depth knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point are also required</p>
<p>·         Use of SAP, Hyperion, Access or other tools is a plus</p>

<p>Veridex, LLC, a Johnson &#038; Johnson company, is an organization dedicated to providing physicians and patients with high-value in vitro diagnostic oncology products. Veridex&#8217;s products will significantly benefit patients through earlier disease detection, and will enable personalized medicine strategies to improve patient management and outcomes.</p>
<p>The company is currently developing two complementary product lines. Products under the CellSearch™ brand are based on technology that identifies, enumerates and characterizes circulating tumor cells. Products under the GeneSearch™ brand are based on molecular technology for gene expression profiling.</p>
<p>Responsible for accomplishing the targeted sales in line with the franchise&#8217;s strategic direction, through the development of sales strategies and the supervision and support provided to the sales force on its implementation. Demonstrates strong ability to sell molecular products into current and potential Veridex customer base. Plan, execute, and follow up on sales activities for sales representatives and business segments. Develop and recommend specific sales plans and new product launches as per strategic direction. Have direct contact with the customer, give technical and professional support and do promotion of products. Produce reports of sales, calls, visits, and achievements in the territory. This is not a people Manager position but has budget accountability.<br />
Qualifications</p>
<p>To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: BA/BS degree in scientific, business discipline, 5-10 years of related experience strongly preferred. MBA a plus. Diagnostic field sales experience with an emphasis in the field of oncology and histopathology and technology selling preferred. Advanced knowledge of customer lymph node processes, along with a working knowledge of the appropriate supporting products a plus. Clinical Experience or related activities a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook required. Valid drivers license issued in one of the 50 States and clean driving record required. Ability to work in an operating room setting. Ability to travel as necessary or required, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Self directed and self motivated, with a proven track record of career success. Ideal candidate will live (or be willing to relocate) in close proximity to a major airport. </p>
